Free NHS Health Check
Get a free local NHS health check at our Centre...
On the 27th, 28th & 29th of June, customers will be able to access free NHS health checks from our Centre!
The NHS van will be located at the top of the car park for free walk-in health checks between the hours of 9 am - 5 pm.
Courtesy of Staffordshire County Council and Everyone Health, check-ups will be available to anyone between the age of 40 - 74. Regardless of whether or not you feel great, a free NHS health check can help prevent the risk of diabetes, heart and kidney disease, stroke, and dementia. 1. Who is eligible for a health check?
You are eligible if you are between the ages of 40 - 74, and have not had a stroke, diabetes, kidney disease, or a heart condition (including diagnosed high blood pressure or cholesterol).
2. Why do I need this check, I feel fine!
NHS Health Check helps identify potential risks early and improves chances of living a healthier life.
3. Who is eligible for a health check?
The check is part of a national scheme to help prevent the onset of these health problems. Everyone between the ages of 40 - 74 who has not been diagnosed with these problems will be invited for a check once every five years.
4. What if I'm outside the age range?
If you are outside the age range and concerned about your health, you should contact your GP.
5. If I'm assessed as being at 'low risk', does this mean I won't develop these conditions?
It is impossible to say that someone will or won't go on to develop one of these conditions. But taking action now will help you lower your potential risk.
